Urban Decay is an exhibition of graffiti art by Gary Rowe aka Real. Born in 1982 in London, Real has had a passion for graffiti all his life.

Starting out like most graffiti artists - spraying his tag on walls - he soon got fed up with "spraying on walls and cars for the sake of it". "That's vandalism", he claims.
The desire to have his works recognized prompted him to experiment with canvas, boards, vinyl and basically anything he can get his hands on.

Since he moved to Namibia in October 2008, Real has made his mark locally, reinventing walls, shop fronts and inside venues through his creative designs. "Urban Decay", his second exhibition in Namibia, demonstrates how graffiti blends in with harsh urban surroundings and transforms its environment.

To compliment the exhibition, the FNCC Cinema will screen "Style Wars", a documentary about the graffiti subculture of New York, on Wednesday, 9 June.
